Lake County Tech Campus Auto Services Teacher Surprised With National Honor
For his above and beyond efforts as an automotive services teacher at Lake County Tech Campus, Jack Wilson was named a LifeChanger of the Year in front of hundreds of students and their parents Thursday evening. Though the presentation happened during the Tech Campuses' annual awards night, when the campus community gathers to commemorate the school year and honor exemplary students, the news that he'd won was surprise to Wilson.

USDOL Selects Nine Communities, Partners to Expand, Improve Workforce Opportunities for all Young People
To expand opportunities for youth workers across the nation and improve their employment outcomes, the U.S. Department of Labor has selected the first nine communities and their associated partners in its Youth Systems Building Academy. Lake County has been selected as one of the communities.
Summer Youth Employment Program Applications Open March 1st
Applications for the Summer Youth Employment Program will be accepted from Tuesday, March 1 to Saturday, April 15. This popular program, funded by the Lake County Board, will provide meaningful work experiences in various worksites for approximately 160 young people this summer.

The second annual Hire Lake County Job Fair, held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, was a success! Hosted by the Marriott Resort Lincolnshire, and in collaboration with the Job Center of Lake County, Village of Lincolnshire, and Lake County Workforce Development, the event featured more than 90 employers with 1,000+ jobs available.
