In continued celebration of Workforce Development Month, Lake County Workforce Development staff recently presented to the GLMV Chamber of Commerce Executive Board.

Jeffrey Hubert, Business Services Manager, and Sara Espeland, Apprenticeship Specialist, highlighted training, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship models to give chamber leadership a deeper understanding of available workforce development programs, equipping them with valuable knowledge to share with their members and new businesses moving into the communities of Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, and Vernon Hills.

Strategic partnerships, like the one with GLMV Chamber, allow Lake County Workforce Development to lead performance driven and innovative strategies that develop, align, and integrate the region and local area’s job-driven workforce development system.

“We are proud to partner with them on these important initiatives connecting our employers and workforce to fuel economic growth and well-being in Lake County,” noted GLMV President Scott Adams.

“We really enjoyed listening to the different agenda items and the reports from the communities,” noted Huber. “I am always amazed at how much a small team can get accomplished.”
